After the coming into existence of Lemru Elephant Reserve, work is being done in many ways. Under the Narva Project, elephants get adequate water in the forest. Narva has been built under this. Fruit trees are being planted. Elephant-human conflict has been reduced to a great extent to develop suitable habitats for elephants in this sanctuary and to reduce elephant-human conflict. Many types of works have been done to develop the habitat for elephants, which work has been done on a plantation of fruit trees, pasture development, and Narwa development. Along with this, big water harvesting structures are also being erected by the Forest Department, so that water can be available in abundance to elephants and other animals also. Animals should not have to wander for water.
