PO Name: Sri Aurobindo Ashram

Description: Sri Aurobindo Ashram is a spiritual community (Ashram) located in white town of Pondicherry. The Ashram grew out of a small community of disciples who had gathered around Sri Aurobindo after his retirement from politics & settled in Pondicherry in 1910. This Permanent Pictorial cancellation was introduced to mark the birth Anniversary of Sri Aurobindo. This design was similar to the one used in Postage Stamp on Sri Aurobindo released on 15th August 1964.
