Description: Shri Mahavirji is a very popular place among the followers of the Digambar Jain Religion and has importance all over the world. The idol of Lord Mahavir seated here was found buried on a hill 400 years ago where a cow used to spill its milk on the ground every day, then out of curiosity the villagers dug that place and then this miraculous idol of Lord Mahavir was found and it was placed in the temple and was established. This area is located in the Karauli district of Rajasthan which is 110 km. from Sawai Madhopur city.

Shri Mahavir Ji Temple is dedicated to the 24th Tirthankar Lord Mahavir. This temple is equipped with three Shikhars. Also at the main entrance of the temple, there is a rectangular plaza and then seven beautiful gates to enter the Mahamandapam. The outer and inner walls of the temple are decorated with beautiful carvings and golden paintings to enhance the attraction, impact and glory of the temple with 16 mythological scenes on Jainism beautifully carved on the outer walls of the temple. The sculpture of the temple shows exquisite beauty of execution and a high degree of skill. There is a 52-foot-high Manastambh in front of the main entrance of the temple is looks very beautiful.
