Rose Garden is a part of Chandigarh which is named after former President Dr. Zakir Hussain. This garden was established in 1967 by Mohinder Singh Randhawa, the first Chief Commissioner of Chandigarh. It looks like just a rose garden but it also has plants and trees with medicinal importance. The Rose Garden is the largest in Asia, which is spread over an area of 27 acres. There are 1600 types of rose plants and about 17000 rose bushes have been planted in the garden. roses plants not only from India but also from abroad species are present in this garden. To make the Rose Garden beautiful. Every year in February three-day Rose Festival is also organized in this Rose Garden.
