Which Dhauladhar range is one of the ranges of the Central Himalayas. The altitude of Dhauladhar ranges from 3,500 meters to about 6,000 meters. The highest peak in this range is Hanuman Tibba, which is 5,982 meters above sea level. 

Established by the British in 1849, the place was established as a military auxiliary cantonment and takes its name from an old Hindu pilgrimage site called 'Dharamshala'. Tea tourism is also gradually gaining momentum in Kangra Valley. There are many tea gardens and tea factories in Palampur and Dharamshala.
